The NGO @ForoPenal informed that it has verified at least 104 releases of political prisoners in Venezuela during this Sunday, January 25. The count is still in process, according to the organization, which documents each case with relatives and independent records.
The president of Foro Penal, @alfredoromero, published the update around 8:00 p.m. (Venezuela time) and stressed that the absence of official lists from the Chavista regime prevents families and human rights organizations from having certainty and transparency about the releases.
The figure makes this Sunday one of the days with the most releases since the Chavistas began releasing prisoners “drop by drop” this month, after the announcement by the president of the Chavista National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, on January 8.
