The Venezuelan rock world offers a new surprise, with the union of a 34-year-old truck driver who travels the USA transporting goods and has extensive experience in the most irreverent punk rock, along with a 14-year-old boy, who studies high school in Cagua, Aragua State, dreaming of singing on big stages.

The magic of the internet and social media brought them together, forging a friendship woven together by the rhythm of pop-rock. This led to the formation of the band JDP, comprised of Dano (guitar and composer) and Sada (vocals), who released their debut album, "Abstract Thoughts of a Distorted Soul," at the end of last year under the Indie Rock label.

The tracks included on the album are available on all major digital platforms and also at the following link youtube.com/@jdprockband.

JDP will be performing in Colombia in July, with a show that goes beyond music, as its story demonstrates how art breaks down barriers of age and thought. It also portrays the selfless support of a man with an established career who gives a young boy the opportunity to rise to prominence and fulfill his potential through rock music.

Because of the 20-year age difference between the members of this duo, it would seem that Dano is the teacher and Sada the mentor, but many times the roles are reversed and it is the child who teaches the adult, thus breaking the paradigms of experience, according to a press release.

“I would describe the music on our album Abstract Thoughts of a Distorted Soul as a completely conceptual indie-alternative album, which tells abstract stories in each song, with lyrics that sometimes seem nonsensical. It was produced at the prestigious Vintage Studios recording studio in Valencia, Carabobo State, by sound engineer Rubén Hernández. Furthermore, it features refined mastering by Grammy winner and Berklee graduate Enrique González Müller, who mastered Caramelos De Cianuro's album Frisbee,” explains Sada.

Dano is based in North Carolina, USA, from where he travels the country's highways transporting goods. When he lived in Venezuela, he was the heart and soul of the renowned and irreverent punk rock band, Cañería, with whom he performed in various parts of the country.

Sada lives and works in Cagua and other cities in Aragua state, singing on school stages and at family events, where she has a lot of fun. Thanks to technology, they were able to compose, record, and produce an album, and they are already working on their second. Of course, they both dream of performing together in their homeland, a dream they hope to realize in 2026.
