Producers and farmers in Falcón are being instructed on the lines of work that will mark the projects to be executed this 2026, after the Congress of the National Union of Farmers held in Caracas.

The 730 peasant councils are invited to continue with the regional productive boost that guarantees food sovereignty in the region and in the country.

Governor Victor Clark, during the assembly with municipal spokespeople, highlighted that the work plan will focus on training, technical advice, availability of machinery, adaptation of agricultural roads, delivery of seeds, guarantee of irrigation systems and provision of work tools, among other aspects.

“The task entrusted by President Nicolás Maduro was undertaken by the peasant sector in Falcón with great commitment, which resulted in an organizational phase that allows us to know today that we have more than 4.400 peasant spokespeople, including main and alternate representatives, in addition to more than 40 producers throughout the 25 municipalities,” he explained.

Clark indicated that the working group allowed them to establish projects and priorities, municipality by municipality, according to their specific characteristics and potential. “The Falcón peasant movement, with the spirit of Zamora, will work in 2026 to increase its planting capacity and productivity,” he stated.

On behalf of the 93 peasant councils of the Paraguaná axis (municipalities of Carirubana, Falcón and Los Taques), Edgar Colina pointed out that the main requirement of the area is water for irrigation, so he urged the authorities to devise strategies to maintain a constant supply during the planting season.

“We are very happy about this space where all the actors come together to find solutions, and we can say with complete certainty that you can count on us because we are moving forward, what we want is to work,” he stated.

Spokesperson Aryelis Espinoza from the municipality of San Francisco (Mirimire) added that all the spokespeople are going back to their territories with more tasks to carry out in order to strengthen productive activity.

In the municipality of Petit (La Cruz de Taratara), Nani Borjas added that this year a successful path is planned towards the recovery of the agricultural and livestock vocation for the benefit of the people, "we are going to move from an agriculture of resistance to the offensive."
